Supporting Children with Compassion, Experience, and Play
“In the play therapy experience, toys are like the child’s words, and play is the child’s language”
(Landreth: 2012)

About
Kathryn McNamara
Hello, I’m Kathryn McNamara. I’ve worked with children and families for nearly 30 years — first as a primary school teacher, then as a SENCo and Thrive practitioner, and now as a qualified Play Therapist. Throughout my career, my focus has always been the same: helping children feel safe, understood, and able to thrive.

About
Play therapy helps children express their thoughts and feelings through their natural language of play
I work closely with schools to provide the best possible support for pupils, collaborating effectively with a wide range of agencies.
I offer supportive and creative supervision for trainee and qualified play therapists.
